May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14 NIV
How engaged are you in your relationship with God? Imagine having a conversation with a close friend. After you eagerly share everything you have to say, including any requests for favors, they probably would like a chance to speak. Yet they find you too distracted and hurried to listen. Your “conversation” is one-sided—really, it’s more of a monologue. Don’t treat God this way. The Holy Spirit desires to listen and speak to you.
You belong to God. This makes you fully capable of hearing His voice (see John 8:47). What might His Word and His Spirit speak to you today? Slow down, press in, and seek Him. As your relationship with the Holy Spirit grows deeper, it will be easier to recognize His voice. Soon, you will know His voice better than any other.
