Praying The Will Of God

Praying the Will of God

God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. Romans 8:26 The Message

Have you ever been so overwhelmed and broken by the circumstances of life that you didn’t know what to pray? You’re not alone. Countless saints have experienced this. In these moments, God wants you to run to Him, not from Him. Instead of clamming up, He wants you to open up. When you don’t know what to say or how to pray, the Spirit of Christ living in you does. Truth be told, how often do you really know how to pray for yourself, others, or the situations you’re facing?

It is vital that you know in your heart—not just your head—that God’s Spirit is living in you. Take time to meditate on the following verses: Galatians 4:6; Romans 8:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19; John 14:23; 1 John 3:24; 4:12-13. What insights is the Holy Spirit revealing to you? What should be your attitude and approach to God in every prayer you pray?

Quandary: I followed God’s will and befriended a single mum with two daughters who were struggling. I got back from them love and acceptance that was unexpected and lovely. My wife did not share in my joy at serving them and threatened the worst. I abandoned the other family to save my relationship – lost three beautiful friends in the process. What is God’s will in this?

Where th Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom! I tend to focus on the problem , which , in most cases is the result of satans’ past activity. The Holy Spirit is teaching me to pray to Gods will/perspective because this addresses the future and true freedom
