when I was single I lived in Colorado Springs. I struggled with loneliness and I used to walk around the lake at the Broadmoor and pray for a husband.. I ended up moving back to California where I’m from, and my friend Joe and I fell in love. Is where transferred him to Colorado and I went to visit him and he proposed to me at the lake at the Broadmoor. At the front desk of the bride my there is a painting of the building by Maxfield Parrish. Whenever I used to see that painting I would think of my friend Joe because he love Maxfield Parrish. I first born son is named Maxfield.

Hi, well I’m at this time my husband caregiver, and I don’t go or really have time to do anything since his stroke. I’m at this time I’m not working due to I can’t leave my husband alone. I believe with all my heart that GOD has the perfect job for me with the best benefit package as well as great hours. I’ve made up in my heart that if, no one comes and take care of my husband that he has to come with me wherever I go. I’m still alright with that because, it’s getting out of the house the four wall are suffocating. He seems to be ok with it, but I don’t believe it ok. He’s recovering from a stroke; but he’s come such along because of the Grace of GOD. We never had a honeymoon , I believe with all of my heart that our time is NOW, because GOD honors faithfulness whether it’s marriage, family, ministry or career. However, HE does it it’s the best.

My husband and I have been married for almost 2 yrs. We are a blended family, and needless to say, this has been an extremely hard year, started with my father passing, unexpectedly, me almost losing my eyesight, finding out that my 16 yr old is having intercourse, and smoking weed. My 15 yr old telling me that his bio father is hitting him, our best friends going through awful things themselves. My husband and I are struggling, but making it, but need something good. I think this book, and some time together would be a huge blessing.

My fiance and I are marrying in December and honeymooning in April. We will be traveling from Idaho to Arkansas with a stop in Colorado to see family. Our honeymoon will include several days of road biking and mountain biking and a couple massage and a stay at the Broadmoor would completely make it tops!

Oh this would be heaven for us. We have been together for over 10 years, have an 8 year old daughter, married at heart but not on paper. Due to his kidney failure, surgeries and life in general we have not be able to make time for the wedding of our dreams. We would truly be grateful for this wonderful getaway to be able to set back, relax and fall in love all over again. We plan to be wed by next winter (if all works in our favor) and plan to do it in the Colorado Springs area. Our daughter knows no different than us being together and knows we are not married and wishes we would be. By the grace of God, good blessings and the stars in-line, we will make this wish come true for us and for our little girl.

My husband and I are working through The Story of Marriage in our “Marriage Momentum” small group on SONday nights! We have been married 31 years… We have 12 children (including those married and adopted into the family) and nine grandchildren. Our oldest and her son, our youngest daughter, and our youngest son (who is autistic) all still live with us! Not complaining at all– we are blessed! Nevertheless, I AM READY, almost anytime to GET AWAY!!! :-) <
